1. Riverdale<\/b><\/p>\n

Loosely based on the Archie Comics, <\/span>Riverdale <\/span><\/i>is a dark take on its lighthearted, cheerful predecessor. Think <\/span>Gossip Girl<\/span><\/i>, but with more death. It\u2019s a drama, but with enough action to avoid being called soapy, which means it will satisfy both those who are looking for romantic plot twists and those who just love a good ol\u2019 fashioned murder mystery. Plus, Cole Sprouse plays Jughead, which sure doesn\u2019t hurt. The first season is available on Netflix, and you can get caught up on the second season on the CW app or website.<\/span><\/p>\n

2. The Good Place<\/b><\/p>\n

The Good Place <\/span><\/i>may be about dead people, but it\u2019s full of life. Each of the characters brings a different type of humor to the show, making for a hysterical comedy that pleases everyone. Kristen Bell does an excellent job portraying the selfish-turned-principled Eleanor Shellstrop, whose sarcastic humor tends to be pretty relatable. <\/span>The Good Place <\/span><\/i>season 1 is available to watch on Netflix, and the second season is expected to be on Netflix in September 2018. You can also watch both seasons on Hulu.<\/span><\/p>\n

3. Teen Wolf<\/b><\/p>\n

This is so much more than a cheesy show about werewolves. In fact, it\u2019s really not very cheesy at all, save for a few moments in season one. Loosely based on the 1985 film, <\/span>Teen Wolf <\/span><\/i>about a high school student named Scott who is bitten and turns into a werewolf. Scott\u2019s new life is full of danger, but also romance, along with humor provided mainly by Scott\u2019s best friend Stiles. This show has something for everyone, combining action, drama, and comedy into a show that is the total package\u4e00it\u2019s easily my favorite show on the list. Plus, it gets all the points for female empowerment\u4e00every single female character is totally kick-ass. Sadly, <\/span>Teen Wolf <\/span><\/i>wrapped up its sixth and final season last year, but you can watch the entire series<\/span> on Amazon Prime.<\/span><\/p>\n

4. Supernatural<\/b><\/p>\n

If you haven\u2019t heard of this show by now, you must have been living under a rock. Seriously, the fandom is its own entity. <\/span>Supernatural <\/span><\/i>is about two brothers hunting and killing monsters, but it\u2019s also a story about family, friends, and the undeniable chemistry between a man and an angel. It\u2019s got plenty of blood and gore to satisfy those looking for an action show (really, it\u2019s a lot of blood), but plenty of heart-wrenching scenes and broments to soothe your soft side.You can catch up on season 13 on the CW app or website, and seasons 1-12 are on Netflix.<\/span><\/p>\n

5. Stranger Things<\/b><\/p>\n

If you haven\u2019t noticed the trailers, merch, or memes, you\u2019re about to enter a whole new world: The Upside Down (just kidding, that\u2019s terrifying). <\/span>Stranger Things <\/span><\/i>is easily one of the most popular shows on this list, even with only 17 episodes, and it\u2019s no wonder why; it has a stellar cast, a gripping story, and SO MANY SHIPS! Never before has a relationship between two children been so important. This supernatural thriller is perfect for binge-watching, so clear your weekend plans and make time for what really matters. Both seasons of <\/span>Stranger Things <\/span><\/i>are available to watch on Netflix. #JusticeForBarb<\/span><\/p>\n

6-9. Arrow\/The Flash\/Supergirl\/Legends of Tomorrow<\/b><\/p>\n

Yes, this is technically four, but the DC shows tie in together so much that it makes the most sense to just watch all of them. All of them combine action and drama to form exciting TV shows with plenty of relationships to go around, including same-sex couples. Each show also has a designated comic-relief character to lighten the mood. <\/span>Arrow <\/span><\/i>and <\/span>The Flash <\/span><\/i>are on their sixth and fourth seasons respectively, while <\/span>Supergirl <\/span><\/i>and <\/span>Legends of Tomorrow <\/span><\/i>are both on their third seasons. All but the most recent season of each are available on Netflix.<\/span><\/p>\n

10. The Good Doctor<\/strong><\/p>\n

No, this isn\u2019t just another clich\u00e9 medical drama. <\/span>The Good Doctor <\/span><\/i>is surprisingly, well, good. Shawn Murphy has left behind his quiet life in Casper, Wyoming, to become a residential surgeon at the fast-paced St. Bonaventure Hospital in San Jose. The twist: Shawn has autism and savant syndrome, meaning that while he is incredible gifted and has a photographic memory, he also faces many challenges in communicating with his colleagues. <\/span>The Good Doctor <\/span><\/i>sheds some much-needed light on autism, along with other topics such as sexism and facing prejudice. It\u2019s a perfect feel-good show to start the week. The first season of <\/span>The Good Doctor <\/span><\/i>just wrapped up, but the entire thing is available to watch on the ABC app or website, as well as Hulu.<\/span><\/p>\n

11. Psych<\/b><\/p>\n

Combining crime and comedy, <\/span>Psych <\/span><\/i>is a show about a hyper-observant man who claims to be psychic in order to solve police cases. It\u2019s family friendly, but also hilarious; it\u2019s easily the funniest show on this list. Featuring a hysterical cast as well as many well-known guest stars (Ally Sheedy, Cary Elwes, and more!), plus hundreds of movie references, you\u2019ll get a laugh out of this one no matter what age you are. All eight seasons of <\/span>Psych <\/span><\/i>are available to watch on Amazon Prime.<\/span><\/p>\n

12. Marvel\u2019s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.<\/b><\/p>\n

If you\u2019re a fan of Marvel, this is definitely the show for you. <\/span>Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. <\/span><\/i>ties in directly to the MCU, following the same timeline as the movies. It also features some characters from the movies, including Phil Coulson as the main character. There are also some new faces, including hacker-turned-secret agent Skye\/Daisy Johnson\/Quake (it\u2019s a long story), badass Melinda May, and scientists Fitz and Simmons (just a heads-up: Fitzsimmons may be the cutest ship of all time). Like the movies, the show mixes action with humor in a way that is satisfying for all audiences. <\/span>Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. <\/span><\/i>season 5 continues on Fridays on ABC.
